Our history

In March 1996, the Payroll Giving Group was acquired by Help the Aged, to continue promoting payroll giving and the freedom to choose to donate to any charity registered in the UK. The acquisition resulted in the Payroll Giving Group being renamed as Payroll Giving Ltd t/a Sharing the Caring.
In July of the same year, Sharing the Caring helped found the Association of Payroll Giving Professional Fundraising Organisations (APGPFO).
In 1999 Sharing the Caring reached its first £1m raised for charities and opened an office in Bangor, Northern Ireland.

Two years later Sharing the Caring launched its Payroll Giving Online product.
In January 2005, Sharing the Caring left Help the Aged and merged with the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF),becoming an integral department within the Company Services Division.
